Connecticut’s Office of Early Childhood engaged the Institute for Child Success to undertake a Pay for Success feasibility study of the benefits and potential cost savings of expanding Triple P (the Positive Parenting Program) across the State.  With successful implementation in 25 countries to date, evaluations have shown reduced rates of child abuse and neglect, out-of-home placements, children using the ER, conduct problems among preschoolers, and children with attention problems. The Connecticut feasibility study focused on substantiated abuse/neglect cases and foster care placements, beginning in a subset of regions in the state. Community providers will be chosen in consultation with the Office of Early Childhood, the Department of Children and Families, and the Department of Social Services.
