The new $1.5 million initiative, CareerLift, spearheaded by funding from the Rockefeller Foundation and driven by the NYC Center for Youth Employment (CYE), a project of Mayor Bill de Blasio's Fund to Advance NYC, will improve employment outcomes for out-of-school and out-of-work young adults.The CYE, in partnership with JobsFirstNYC and Social Finance, will work with private-sector employers to help improve employee turnover rates and productivity. This pilot is the first of its kind in the nation and will assess the feasibility of a Pay for Success model in improving the results of employment retention services.
