January 18, 2018 - The governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker, called a special session of the Wisconsin Legislature to pass the Wisconsin Works for Everyone welfare reform legislation which includes an authorization for the Department of Administration (DOA) to contract with private service providers for social, employment, or correctional services to individuals, and create a pay for success trust fund. The legislation would also require the Department of Heath Services and Department of Children and Families to implement performance-based payment measures for W-2 and FoodShare Employment and Training program (FSET) vendor contracts.
